Dionysus Records Empire

Welcome to the Dionysus Records Empire Mail Order Store.

A seemingly-endless trove of global goodies and oddities galore turned up in our warehouse over the past couple of weeks, including some wonderful Indian psych excursions from Ananda Shankar and Dilip Roy, plus the lost 1970 acid-fuzz platter by The New Dawn, and The Yodeling Astrologer, MIJ's brilliant/bizarre lost loner-folk epic.

As promised, more great comps abound, this time in the form of a seriously tripped-out Tropicalia collection (Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas: Tropicalia Psychedelic Masterpieces 1967-1976), a powerhouse set of crazed psychedelic soul (Psych-Funk 101 1968-1975), two volumes of African garage/psych/surf insanity (Cazumbi: African Sixties Garage) and the pretty much self-explanatory Forge Your Own Chains - Heavy Psychedelic Ballads And Dirges, 1968-1974.

Former frat punker-turned-rockabilly/roots rocker Deke Dickerson popped by for a visit recently and unloaded a bunch of his Guitar Geek Festival DVDs and some titles from his Ecco-Fonic (now known as Major Label) Records label by Jimmy Lee Fautheree and Jeremy Wakefield. If your'e a fellow guitar geek, then you won't want to miss the DVDs, which feature live performances from The Ghastly Ones, The Collins Kids, Los Straightjackets, members of the Ventures, Surfaris, Pyramids, and Challengers, and so many more, including The Doubleneck Trainwreck featuring 18 doubleneck guitars!

And finally, dont' forget about our recent limited edition re-presses of the Tiki Tones' Suburban Savages and Controllers LPs, which both include a coupon for a FREE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD!
