An unbelievably eye-catching cover (especially if you take into consideration that it was originally released during the Cold War-crazed conservative year of 1957) houses Chaino's most savage percussive outing. Eye contains a generous serving of sensual rhythms and gut-wrenching screams as recorded at the world famous Gold Star Studios in the late 1950.s. Originally released on the jazzy Tampa label as Night Of The Spectre to literally no distribution or fanfare, this title was later re-issued on Verve with a much spicier title, Jungle Mating Rhythms, but with a not as spicy album cover. Songs: 1. Bongos Whistling 2. Woo Di Ese 3. Bongo Semba 4. Temba Lero 5. Sumac 6. Don't Do It To Me 7. Bim Boo 8. Zombie Bamboos 9. Mating Calypso 10. Seis Nueve 11. Afri Cuban 12. Secret Jungle Path
