Pan-Asian in a volcanic, Pacific Rim kinda way, the Buttersprites draw energy from downtown Tokyo, mossy Seattle pubs, cartoon monsters, and some glamorous parallel universe of glitter, cherry blossoms, and ersatz nurse uniforms. They are fierce, fun, fabulous, and now-y. Their simple and charming sound is like a soundtrack from eighties independent flick, sometimes sweet and sometimes punky, in Japanese and English lyrics.
